Mister B at Mickey's

Open 24 hours, the joint is on the National Historic Register... way cool to watch a 'short order cook' work his artistry. No wasted motions, a dozen or so orders, no sweat and an appreciative audience!

So, I hoofed it down to LaSalle street, to the old SportMart and even older Morrie Mages and snagged two spiffy racquets and a six pack of balls.

Barry and I don't really play, but we do have courts right across the street and if we just hit the ball back and forth we should get some exercise in...

A fantastic evening...
We hit that new "coal burning" pizza place on Grand!

Quite good! Reminded me of "The Two Amy's" in DC...

Glad to be a Grad....

The fajitas...

The drudge...

One of three papers officially turned in!
If all goes well, the second will be e-mailed away.
Which leaves me with finishing up the third and most painful one.... c'est la vie.

In food news: I have a roast on the rotisserie lazily spinning 'neath an indirect heat. We'll slice it up for sammies and salads the rest of the week. Tonight FAJITAS!

Ravioli Part Deux

So, this is what they looked like.... a little sloppy, I'll admit, but I was kinda, sorta watching the Bull's game!

Making Ravioli

I struggle to finish the papers that are due on Friday in order for me to graduate on Sunday. So, to take a breather, I made some pasta and a filling of chicken, garlic, shallots, basil and sundried tomatoes.

When Barry gets home, I'll roll out the pasta and turn it into ravioli.... and then back to the damn papers!
